Root 牙根

Therootis the part of a tooth that you cannot see because it is deep under the gum.
Most teeth have one or more roots, and the root keeps the tooth firmly in place.
Roots are longer than the part of the tooth you see in your mouth.
At the tip of each root, there are tiny holes where blood vessels and nerves enter the tooth.
The root is covered by a hard layer called cementum, which helps protect it.
