Our galaxy is filled with potentially habitable planets -- at least 300 million of them, according to NASA.美国国家航空航天局的科学家表示，银河系中遍布潜在宜居行星，至少有3亿颗。

The US space agency"s Kepler Space Telescope spent nine years on a planet-hunting mission, successfully identifying thousands of exoplanets in our galaxy before running out of fuel in 2018.美国国家航空航天局的开普勒太空望远镜花了九年时间搜寻行星，在2018年燃料耗尽之前，成功地在银河系中发现了数千颗系外行星。

Scientists around the world pored over Kepler"s data for years -- and they think they"ve found the answer.全球科学家对开普勒的数据研究了多年，他们认为已经找到了答案。

According to research released in The Astronomical Journal, there are roughly 300 million potentially habitable worlds in our galaxy.根据发表在《天文学杂志》上的一项研究，银河系中大约有3亿颗宜居行星。

That figure is a rough estimate on the conservative side, and "there could be many more," said NASA in a news release.美国国家航空航天局在新闻稿中说，这个数字只是保守的粗略估计，“可能还有更多”。
